Principal investigator

Cory received his B.A. in Biology and Chemistry combined major from Whitman College. Before graduate school, Cory worked with Nicholas Spitzer at UCSD for nearly 5 years studying activity-dependent neurotrasmitter expression in Xenopus spinal neurons, where he developed an interest in neurobiology. He went on to receive his Ph.D. in Biology from UCSD working with Jing Wang studying neuromodulation and olfactory processing in Drosophila. Cory did postdoctoral research with Richard Axel at Columbia University, before coming home to UCSD in the summer of 2016.

Ph.D. Student

James is in the UCSD Neurosciences Program. He received his B.A. in Neuronscience and Biology from Dartmouth College. He joined the lab Spring of 2018. Personal website.

Ph.D. student

Sunny is in the UCSD Biological Sciences Program. She received her B.S. in Biology from Fudan University. She joined the lab Summer of 2020 and is co-mentored by Elina Zuniga on a Neuroimmunology project.

Ph.D. student

Daniel is in the UCSD Neurosciences Program. He received his B.A. from Brandeis University in Politics and JD from Northwestern University. He joined the lab Winter 2018 and is an NSF Fellow.
